The history of Thanksgiving in Canada goes back to an English explorer, Martin Frobisher, who had been trying to find a northern passage to the Orient. He did not succeed but he did establish a settlement in Northern America. In the year 1578, he held a formal ceremony, in what is now called Newfoundland, to give thanks for surviving the long journey. This is considered the first Canadian Thanksgiving. Other settlers arrived and continued these ceremonies. He was later knighted and had an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean in northern Canada named after him

Terry fox

                                     Terry Fox

He was born in July 28 1958. Terry fox was diagnosed with cancer in March 1977. He was determined to not give up. The first race he entered with his new leg was 27 kilometers in Prince George which he got a huge cheer when he finished. That started his run for cancer and on April 27 he dipped hid artificial leg in the ocean and started his run. His goal and achievement was 26 miles every day until a cure was found. But it didn’t come in time after 143 days of running he stopped and died June 28 1981 in royal Columbia hospital. But even though dead his legend still lives on. Overall terry fox ran 3,339 miles and raised over 10 million dollars.

Info tech is cool cause you learn alot of info about technology spefifically computer stuff. It is fun and kinda relaxed. I will probably take it next year to cause its so cool. There is alot to learn about computers so i take it as an advantage to mprove my skills. You can do so much on computers such as Facebook Google and Blog. you can research important things for example weather, economy and trade history and futur. Computers can do all this and that is why it is important to learn about them.
